I recently found myself flying in and out of JFK for a trip to Barcelona. I got a GREAT deal on a RT ticket ($434 with British Airways!) so I decided that flying out of my home city was well worth it. I needed a place to stay for two nights total so that I could rest and relax on my way in and out of NYC. Thanks to the smart phone app HotelTonight, it was easy to book a hotel on the way there and on the way home. If you travel often and like to save money, you’ll love this app. I want to show you how HotelTonight offers a fun way to book an affordable hotel at the last minute!
One of the main reasons I love this app is the fact that you can get a GREAT hotel at the last minute. If you’re looking for a boutique hotel, they have it. If you’re more into luxury hotels, they have those, too. You can book up to 6 days ahead of your trip – but I have noticed you get a better deal the longer you wait to book. Calling all procrastinators – you can book the same day and get a really great rate! 🙂
The app is really simple to use. You just fill in your destination and dates and you can browse all of your options. HotelTonight works with hotels to get left over rooms booked, so they don’t sit empty – so you may see different hotel options each day that you browse the app. It’s a fun way to experience new hotels while on the road. You may even find yourself booking a hotel that you wouldn’t have booked otherwise because it’s such a great deal!
Wondering what kind of prices you can get on a last minute trip? Here’s a look at some options for tonight – in two different cities. I’ll include the Hotel Tonight price and the hotel website price to give you an idea of the savings available. It really depends on the day of the week, the location you’re visiting, and a mix of other factors. Take some time to compare each hotel and you’ll find the perfect one for you.
