If you’re a frequent traveler looking for the perfect hotel for an upcoming trip to DC, you’re just in luck. I recently stayed at The River Inn in Foggy Bottom, DC and had a wonderful stay. This is the ideal hotel for travelers who enjoy unique special touches and for those who want to keep up with their everyday routine while on the road.
The River Inn is part of the chain known as Modus Hotels. Modus Hotels focuses on offering boutique lifestyle themed hotels in DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and other US cities. They offer comfortable hotels that meet the needs of busy travelers who are on the go. No matter which Modus Hotel you stay at, you’ll be sure to have a unique and memorable experience.
While staying at The River Inn, I noticed many special touches that make this hotel stand out against others in the area. For one, they offer grocery delivery from Whole Foods and Trader Joes. All you need to do is tell the hotel what items you’d like to have in your fridge and you’ll have what you need at your arrival. Another perk to staying at this hotel is they offer a fitness center, nearby yoga classes, and local running routes to help you keep up with your fitness goals while on the road. I also loved that The River Inn had free bicycles for rent, which can make exploring DC even more enjoyable.
Another perk to staying here is the awesome location. The River Inn is located right in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood and has a nice residential feel on its street. This is a great spot to be while in DC because you’re just moment away from the famous Georgetown area. There are many restaurants, shops, and attractions located nearby, making it easy for you to truly enjoy your stay. You don’t have to go far to find what you need!
If you’re in town for business, there’s a meeting room available. The staff at The River Inn can also get you set up with a catering team if you’re looking to host a professional event on-site and want to have some snacks or full meals.
All of the hotel rooms at the River Inn are studio style. I loved this! This gives you the comfortable space needed to relax and unwind while on your travels. You’ll also appreciate the connecting kitchen space. I enjoyed making coffee and breakfast each morning before I started my DC adventures. Each room comes with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee beans, and a coffee grinder and machine. Whether you’re constantly on the go for business or for pleasure, this is a great perk that doesn’t go unnoticed.
If you don’t feel like making your own meals while staying here or don’t want to travel far for food, there’s also an on-site restaurant and bar that has a cozy and modern feel. DISH + Drinks serves delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There’s also an extensive wine and cocktails list. It’s the perfect place to have friends meet you for happy hour.
I enjoyed all of the extra special touches at this hotel, the great customer service, and the comfortable and relaxed environment. If you’re planning a DC adventure, I highly recommend you stay at this great hotel. If you’re traveling outside of the DC area, be sure to also check out the other fabulous Modus Hotels.
