If you want to see positive results in your social media marketing, one of the things you should do is post consistently. By doing that, you will keep your brand always in the minds of your customers. This can translate into more leads and better conversion.

But what are the other benefits of posting consistently? How often should you post on different social media platforms? Join us as we answer these questions in this article.

Benefits of Posting Consistently On Social Media

If you are unsure if posting consistently is worth it, here are the benefits you need to know about.

Connect With Customers

You can stay connected with your customers when you post regularly on social media. Your brand will be more recognizable and memorable to customers as they see more of it.

Get Customer Feedback

One of the best ways of growing and improving your brand is by regularly getting customer feedback. By listening to your customers, you can understand their needs, wants, and challenges. Posting questions will also give you feedback that can help improve your brand.

Engage With Customers

A common mistake brands make is talking to their customers instead of engaging with them. If you are just bombarding them with ads and selling your products to them, they will get bored with your brand. For the best results, you should consistently post content that motivates them.

Improve Conversion

Studies indicate that many buyers buy from brands they have interacted with. The more eyeballs that fall on your brand, the better the chances of someone buying from you.  Whenever you post, you remind your customers about your products or services. This will help improve conversion.

Enhance Customer Satisfaction

Customers prefer to reach out to brands through their social media pages. One of the things they check is the activity level of your account. People will consider your business to have poor customer service if you don’t post regularly.

Get More Followers

Nowadays, social media algorithms will show posts to people in your niche. By posting regularly, some sites such as Facebook will recommend your posts under “suggested for you.” This will help grow your following.

How Often Should You Post on Social Media?

As the old saying goes, too much of everything is poisonous. Overdoing the posting might bore your followers, who might even mark your account as spam. This is why knowing how often to post on social media is essential. While there is no simple answer to the posting frequency, some studies show the best frequency for posting.

Facebook

Many social media sites are reducing organic reach, but Facebook beats them all. Studies indicate that the engagement rate of Facebook posts now stands at around 0.7%. Social media experts suggest that to stay in the mind of Facebook users, you should post  1 to 3 times a day.

Posting on Facebook daily will grow your following four times faster than brands that post weekly. Ensure you have a content calendar to help with your Facebook posting. The best time to post on Facebook will depend on your target audience.

Twitter

Unlike Facebook, Twitter tweets have a shorter lifespan. Therefore, it’s advisable to post a little more often than other channels. The more you post on Twitter, the more likely your posts will appear on people’s feeds.

In fact, Twitter is the only social media channel where the more you post, the better. Some Twitter accounts post as many as 20 to 50 times daily. On average, you can post 5 to 10 times daily on Twitter between 8 am and 4 pm, as this is when most people are on the platform.

LinkedIn

According to LinkedIn statistics, businesses that post 2 to 3 times daily have twice more engagement on their posts as those that post weekly. The social media site recommends posting at least once a day. The best time to post on Linkedin is Monday to Friday between 8 am and 10 am.

Remember that Linkedin content takes more time on user’s feeds. This is because when someone interacts with your post, it will appear in their connection’s feeds. This can increase the chances of your posts going viral. Therefore, when it comes to LinkedIn, you should focus on quality rather than quantity.

Tiktok

According to TikTok, you should post 1 to 4 times a day. However, this may be hard to keep up with if you are a newbie on the platform. So, we recommend posting 3 to 5 times a week. Remember that according to the TikTok algorithm, the more you post, the better your chances of your posts getting noticed. On top of posting regularly, there are services to grow your TikTok account.

Pinterest

The Pinterest algorithm requires quality over quantity. Therefore, instead of focusing on lots of posts, you can do a good post once per week. Since the posts on the social media site have a longer shelf life, you can have a single post shared for weeks or even months.

As we have seen, the answer to how often to post differs from one platform to the other. You can also experiment with different posting schedules to see which works best. But this guide will help you get a good posting schedule if you are wondering where to start.
